Dear AYYA Families, We held our first ever open membership meeting on Monday, May 18, 2015. Many eligible members participated and we would like to let everyone know the results... Most notably, AYYA President and co-founder, George Burns voluntarily ended his tenure as President at this meeting. He was presented with a plaque from the Board on behalf of the entire AYYA family in sincere and humble recognition of all he has done, for over 18 years, to help found, grow, and generally make AYYA the fine league, that serves our communities' families, it is today. He put his heart and soul into this league and we are all better off for it. We are more than lucky that he has chosen to continue on as a board member, baseball commissioner, and as Vice Chair of the Board so he can help out and keep an eye on the "new" guys. Taking George's place as President is another long time AYYA "heart and soul" guy, Mike Jubak. Mike has made clear that he wants to continue and try to improve upon the already good work that George has been doing. Charles Brown ||| remains our Board Chair. All other leadership positions are listed below. The current board of AYYA and their leadership positions are now: Ray Brady - Treasurer Charles Brown ||| - Chair George Burns - Vice Chair and Baseball Commissioner Mike Jubak - President and Softball Commissioner Matthew Hanley - Board Member Kyle FitzMaurice - Board Member and Soccer Commissioner Paul Scariano - Secretary and Flag Football Commissioner Ned Quinn - Vice President and Basketball Commissioner We thank all who participated and we implore everyone to get as involved as you can. On Behalf of the Board of Directors, Paul Scariano, Secretary
