Hello AYYA families! Another successful Fall season of sports is winding down. Soccer and Flag Football players enjoyed a season of great fun and competition. Thank you to everyone who made these programs so successful. The cold weather is beginning to settle in, but AYYA is gearing up to serve the community with our next round of programs. REGISTRATION IS CURRENTLY OPEN FOR OUR BASKETBALL PROGRAM!!!! Please go to our website WWW.ALLYONKERS.ORG TO REGISTER Basketball News: I would like to thank Ned Quinn. Ned is stepping down from the role of AYYA Basketball Commissioner after two years of service. The tasks one takes on as a Commissioner are not easy. Constantly juggling players, parents, teams, referees, opposing teams, venues and schedules is difficult and requires much patience. Ned took on that challenge, donating much of his time; his commitment and dedication will not be forgotten. Thank you, Ned!!!! Please join me in welcoming our new basketball commissioner, Rob McQuade. Rob has jumped right in and has already initiated clinics for all ages. The clinics are free for all currently registered AYYA basketball players. If not yet registered, clinics are accessible for a nominal fee. We are looking forward to a great basketball season with Rob at the helm. For more information on the basketball program please email Rob at Upcoming programs: Winter soccer will be back for another season this year. Registration will open in the upcoming weeks. . We will offer the same format as last year with drills and games played in the gym of Roosevelt High School AND we are looking forward to having coach Erika join us again for another season. For more information on soccer, please email Winter baseball training: We are beginning our 4th year of training in a local Yonkers gym with professional trainers and equipment including a 40-foot batting cage. This program is for players 8 thru 16 years old and is geared toward our more competitive travel teams, which play in the Spring, Summer and Fall. Please note that EVERYONE is welcome to be evaluated for our Travel teams. For more information on Travel Baseball / Softball please email Baseball/Softball 2018: The calendar says November, but we are also preparing for our 2018 baseball season. These free clinics will be offered to children 5-16. Girls Volleyball: Coach Diane is getting her program plan ready for this 2nd year of our Volleyball Program.
